The special-edition 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X pickup made its debut at the 2016 Houston auto show this week. The new pickup variant features more off-road-oriented equipment and a monochromatic exterior.
Upgraded performance parts on the new Sierra All Terrain X include standard four-wheel drive with an Eaton locking rear differential and the Z71 Off-Road suspension package (Rancho monotube shocks, high-flow air cleaner, Hill Descent Control, and underbody transfer case shield). A performance exhaust system bumps the 5.3-liter V-8 engine’s power to 365 hp — an increase of 10 hp.
The monochromatic look features body-colored bits including a unique front grille with tinted chrome accents, front and rear bumpers, door handles, and bodyside moldings.
Black accent bits include sport side steps, a bed-mounted sport bar with off-road LED lighting package, exterior mirrors, belt moldings, and B-pillars. The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X rides on a set of black alloy wheels wrapped in 265/65R18SL Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT (Mud-Terrain) tires.
Other standard features include LED headlights, spray-on bedliner, Rear Park Assist, All-Terrain logo and inclinometer in the instrument cluster, and interior floor mats.
Available exterior colors include Onyx Black, Summit White, Stone Blue Metallic, Iridium Metallic, Crimson Red Tintcoat, and Light Steel Gray Metallic. The special edition All Terrain X upgrade is available on 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4WD models with the crew cab/short box bodystyle.
The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X goes on sale this spring.
