Built Ford Tough: 2004 Ford F-150 vs. Anti-Tank Gun

Have you ever wondered what would happen to a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup if it was shot head on with an anti-tank gun? A new video shows just that.

According to the video, the 2004 Ford F-150 SuperCab pickup’s 5.4-liter Triton V-8 would cost more to repair than the truck is worth, so it was destined to be scrapped. But before taking it in for scrap, the owner decided to see what a really big gun would do to it.

The weapon in question is a Pak 40 75-mm anti-tank gun used by the German army toward the end of World War II, worth around $90,000.

Shot head on, the F-150 pickup rocks as the large slug impacts the grille. The impact is followed by a small engine compartment fire. Upon inspection, the 75-mm slug ripped through the radiator and destroyed the front of the engine leaving debris and fluids on the ground below. Inside, the infotainment screen and other bits have been shaken loose.

Check out the video below to see what a German Military Pak 40 75 -mm anti-tank gun can do to a full-size 2004 Ford F-150 SuperCab pickup.
