For 2016, Chevrolet will introduce yet another Silverado special edition pickup. The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition builds on the Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 crew cab model and pays homage to the decade-long partnership between Chevrolet and Realtree, a company known for its camouflage designs.
The new Silverado special edition features camo graphics on the hood, door, and tailgate. A special blackout trim, black bow tires, off-road assist steps, and black 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires finish off the look. Rancho monotube shocks, hill descent control, an underbody shield, and a G80 auto locking rear differential come as part of the Z71 package included with the model.
Inside the cabin, look for additional camo graphics and front seat headrests embroidered with the Realtree logo. “Personalized for the outdoorsman, this great-looking, very capable Silverado offers another choice for customers looking for a truck with style, capability and dependability,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing, in a recent release.
It may not be quite as hard core as the Silverado Special Ops edition, but the Realtree Edition has enough cosmetic and mechanical upgrades to appeal to the rugged adventurer. Its blacked-out theme also reminds us a bit of last year’s special edition model, the Silverado Midnight Edition.
The Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition will go on sale this spring.
