Nissan will debut an updated GT-R at the New York auto show, and we’ll be there when it happens. Tune in March 23 to our live stream of the Nissan GT-R on the Motor Trend YouTube channel.
Leading up to the reveal, Nissan has teased us with an image of the GT-R’s back end. From that angle, it doesn’t look dramatically different from the current model. But we wouldn’t be surprised if the car gets a final refresh before the next generation arrives.
The GT-R has received a number of performance and cosmetic updates since it debuted for the 2009 model year. The model has been upgraded to produce 545 hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. A Nismo version ups the ante to 600 hp and 481 lb-ft, and according to our tests, reaches 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
Head over to our YouTube channel on Wednesday, March 23 at 9:45 a.m. EST to watch the reveal of the updated Nissan GT-R direct from the show floor. In the meantime, click HERE for a look at other cars debuting at the New York auto show.
