Brake Failure Sends Car Way Off Course at Sebring (W/Video)

A car experienced a brake failure while racing earlier this month at Sebring, according to Fox Sports. As you can imagine, that’s far from the end of the story.

The video below shows a muscle car, possibly a Camaro, driving normally on the track before everything goes wrong. The car plows into a gate, barrels down an access road, and almost collides with another vehicle. The driver then manages to pull into the parking of the Chåteau Élan Hotel, but then goes back out onto the main road again.

Fortunately, the driver is able to eventually reduce the speed of the car, although the video doesn’t show it coming to a complete stop. According to Fox Sports, it seems like everyone got lucky and no one was harmed in the incident.
