cars news 10: 2016 Nissan Titan XD Crew Cab With 5.6L Gas V-8 Priced From $36,485

Pricing for the 2016 Nissan Titan XD “heavy half-ton” pickup with the gasoline 5.6-liter V-8 has been revealed. A base Nissan Titan XD S Crew Cab 4×2 starts at $36,485 (including $1,195 destination), while a top-spec Titan XD Platinum Reserve Crew Cab 4×4 tops out at $56,445 before options.

Although the gas 5.6-liter V-8 has the same displacement from the previous generation Nissan Titan, the engine has been completely revamped to produce 390 hp and 401 lb-ft of torque compared to 317 hp and 385 lb-ft for the previous engine.

Adding four-wheel drive to the base 2016 Nissan Titan XD S Crew Cab adds $3,000 to the two-wheel-drive model’s $36,485 base price. Available options for the Titan XD S Crew Cab include an $800 S Convenience & Utility Package.

The 2016 Nissan Titan XD SV Crew Cab 4×2 is priced at $40,255, while adding four-wheel drive adds another $2,950 to the bottom line. Available option packages include a $1,200 SV Utility Package and a $2,590 SV Comfort & Convenience Package.

Pricing for the Titan XD SL Crew Cab 4×2 starts at $48,225. Adding four-wheel drive to the SL trim adds $3,000 to the price. The top-spec 2016 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve Crew Cab 4×2 starts at $53,665, and an extra $3,050 on top of that if you want four-wheel drive. A $2,190 Rear DVD Entertainment Package is also available for the Platinum Reserve.

Available only with four-wheel drive, the off-road-focused 2016 Nissan Titan XD PRO-4X Crew Cab 4×4 starts at $47,165. Three option packages are available for the Titan XD PRO-4X including an $1,100 PRO-4X Utility & Audio Package, a $3,310 PRO-4X Convenience Package, and a $1,510 PRO-4X Luxury Package.

Other factory options include a set of $145 all-season floor mats on the base S model, and a set of $200 carpeted floor mats for the SV trim. Premium paint is available on SL, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve models for $395, while monotone paint is available on PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve for no additional cost.

Dealer-installed options include $235 splash guards for all models, a $395 Electronic Tailgate Lock (excludes S model), $370 for running board lighting (SV, SL, Platinum Reserve), and a $985 Titan Box Bed Liner w/ Built-in Storage (SV, PRO-4X, SL).

Nissan previously released pricing for the 2016 Nissan Titan XD with the available 5.0-liter Cummins turbodiesel V-8, which starts at $41,485 and tops out at $61,715 before options.

Details on the standard 2016 Nissan Titan pickup’s available 5.6-liter V-8 were revealed at the 2016 Chicago auto show, and the automaker will finally show the regular half-ton version at the 2016 New York auto show. Nissan has yet to release details on the standard Titan’s base V-6 engine.
