BBC Releases Teaser Clip of New Cast, Season of “Top Gear”

The BBC has just released its first teaser video of the all-new season and cast of “Top Gear.” It’s a short, minute-long clip that includes snippets of hosts Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc, along with a handful of the exotic and beater cars that’ll be featured in the upcoming season kicking off this May.

If anything, the arsenal of vehicles looks enticing. Among them is the Aston Martin Vulcan, the Ferrari F12 Tdf, and a bright green McLaren 675LT driven by Jenson Button (who is just a guest on the show). We can expect a battle between the Dodge Viper and Chevrolet Corvette Z06, both of which appear to be equipped with roof-mounted weapons (a military fighter jet is also involved).

What can we expect from the coming season? In the trailer, Evans suffers from car sickness while riding shotgun in an Audi R8 driven by co-host Sabine Schmitz (he throws up his strawberries), and Matt LeBlanc attempts to accomplish a long trip in a Reliant three-wheeler.

Last month, the BBC confirmed the show’s full cast lineup, which will include Formula 1 commentator Eddie Jordan, automotive journalist Chris Harris, car reviewer Rory Reid, and, of course, The Stig. The all-new lineup replaces previous cast members Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May, who have signed on with Amazon Prim and will launch a new show later this year.
