2017 Maserati Levante Crossover Starts at $72,000

The 2017 Maserati Levante will make its North American debut at the 2016 New York auto show and will go on sale in the U.S. in April. Base Levantes will start at $72,000 before destination charge, while the range-topping Levante S starts at $83,000.

One engine is available in the 2017 Levante, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 in two states of tune, 345 hp in the base model and 424 in the S. Maserati’s Q4 all-wheel drive system is standard and can transfer torque between the axles instantaneously when necessary. An eight-speed automatic transmission will be the only gearbox available on all Levantes. A start/stop system is also standard for improved fuel economy.

Air suspension is standard across the entire 2017 Levante lineup, and the crossover will also feature Maserati’s Skyhook adaptive dampers for improved on-road handling and off-road performance. There are four drive modes in the Levante: Normal, I.C.E., sport, and off-road. In each mode, the car’s engine, transmission, suspension, and electronics adjust accordingly to optimize the car’s performance. A self-locking rear differential is also standard on all Levante models for optimum on-road capability.

Standard equipment in the 2017 Levante includes a power tailgate  that can detect obstacles, an eight-speaker audio system, hill descent control, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry/start, electro-chromatic interior and exterior mirrors, and HomeLink garage door opener. Maserati’s new Touch Control infotainment system is also standard and comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and a rotary control knob.

Options available in the 2017 Levante include a panoramic sunroof, a Luxury package, and a Sport package. The Available Zegna Luxury package adds premium Italian leather with bespoke silk from Ermenegildo Zegna and is available only when the Luxury package is selected. Three color combinations of leather/silk are available and come with contrast stitching in tan, red, or black.
