Pricing for the 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 crossover has been revealed. The updated model starts at $22,695 (including a $900 destination) for a base front-drive Sport model with the manual transmission. Mazda has also blessed all automatic transmission-equipped 2016.5 CX-5 models with a standard rearview camera.
The front-drive Mazda CX-5 Sport model with the six-speed manual transmission is the only model available with the 155-hp 2.0-liter Skyactiv I-4 engine. A front-drive Sport model with the 184-hp 2.5-liter Skyactiv I-4 and six-speed automatic transmission starts at $24,495. The Sport model with automatic transmission also adds the Mazda Connect infotainment system.
The front-drive 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 Touring model is priced at $26,115. Touring models gain heated front seats and navigation for the 2016.5 model year. Options include An $1,130 Bose/Moonroof Package and a $1,275 Technology Package (require Bose/Moonroof Package).
Pricing for the front-drive CX-5 Grand Touring starts at $29,470. Like the Touring model, navigation is now standard on the Grand Touring trim. Options include an $1,155 Technology Package and a $1,500 i-ACTIVSENSE Package (requires Technology Package).
All-wheel drive is available on all automatic-equipped models for an additional $1,300. Extra-cost exterior colors include $200 Crystal White Pearl Mica and $200 Soul Red Metallic paint available on all trims except the Sport model with manual transmission.
Previously, the rearview camera was only available on the Sport model as part of an extra-cost Rear View Camera Package, while navigation was available on the Touring and Grand Touring model as part of the Technology Package.
The 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 will hit dealer lots in January.
