When the 2017 Acura NSX goes on sale next year, it’ll be the brand’s first vehicle to command a six-figure price tag. Acura announced today that the 2017 NSX will start at $157,800, which includes the destination fee of $1,800.
Complete pricing details won’t be available until February 25. That’s when Acura begins accepting customer orders and will launch the supercar’s online configurator. The automaker says NSX pricing will top out at $207,500 if the customer opts for pricey options like carbon-ceramic brakes, a carbon fiber roof, a carbon fiber interior package, and upgraded wheels.
Acura also announced it will auction off the first production 2017 NSX through Barrett-Jackson in January. Acura will split the proceeds between the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Zac Brown’s Camp Southern Ground, which serves children with behavioral or socio-economic challenges.
With that sticker price, the 2017 Acura NSX competes with a number of established supercars. The Mercedes-AMG GT S, for example, starts at $130,825, while the Porsche 911 Turbo is just slightly more expensive at $160,195. Audi hasn’t released pricing for its new R8, but the MSRP is estimated to be in the NSX’s ballpark as well. The NSX’s hybrid equation includes a 500-hp, twin-turbo V-6 and three electric motors that propel the supercar to 60 mph in around three seconds.
