The Nissan GT-R has set many records and it appears the automaker is attempting to break another. Nissan recently released a teaser video titled “GT-R NISMO – World Record,” which features a GT-R Nismo race car and an announcement that a world record will soon be broken.
The short YouTube clip from Nissan Middle East shows the GT-R Nismo being unloaded off a truck and onto an airport runway. Its twin-turbo V-6 fires up before the GT-R launches off into the distance. That said, it’s obvious Nissan is attempting to break a straight-line record. It could be top speed, or perhaps it’s a standing mile record.
Not much else is provided from the video description: “Coming at you in full force! No pause button here, just a #GTR #NISMO on a mission! The anticipation got us glued to our screens… #NissanME #OMGTR.” The automaker hasn’t set a date on when this record will be set, so stay tuned for the big announcement, assuming Nissan does indeed reach its goal.
