A low-mileage 1998 McLaren F1 is being offered for sale by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The car has gone just 2,800 miles over the past 18 years.
As one of six examples built during the last year of production, car #69 is the 60th car produced of 64 road-going cars hand-built at the automaker’s Woking, England facility between 1993 and 1998.
The car is said to have been meticulously maintained by MSO and is in factory condition. The 1998 McLaren F1 features a Carbon Black exterior with 17-inch center-locking magnesium wheels. Inside, the center-mounted driver’s seat is covered in black and red leather, while the offset outboard passenger seats are covered in Alcantara.
Other features include fitted luggage, a complete Facom titanium lightweight tool kit and Facom tool box, and limited-edition McLaren F1 owner’s watch. Also included are all books and literature including the correct numbered LM Edition of the McLaren F1 book titled Driving Ambition.
Power for the McLaren F1 came from a modified Mercedes-Benz-sourced 6.1-liter V-12 making 627 hp. With a top speed of 242.8 mph, the McLaren F1 retains its title as the fastest naturally aspirated production car in history.
MSO hasn’t revealed the asking price of the low-mileage supercar.
