Unique touches on the Mulsanne First Edition include an optional bespoke Mulliner sterling silver vanity kit inlaid into the rear picnic table created by Asprey of London, a unique diametric overlay on the rear picnic tables, special tread plates, Union Jack-inspired First Edition embroidery on the seats, an engraved “Flying B” hood ornament, and an optional champagne cooler. The particular example shown at the 2016 Beijing auto show is an extended-wheelbase variant with a unique Fullbeck veneer sourced from a 350-year old English walnut tree, which the automaker acquired for an undisclosed price and used for a small number of cars.

In addition to the Muslanne First Edition, Bentley also revealed the Bentayga by Mulliner. Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding division built a unique SUV with an exclusive set of veneers that depict the mountain scenery that inspired the Bentayga’s name. The scene is composed using 30 individual pieces made from 10 different veneers that were crafted and shaped to create a highly detailed mountainscape picture.
