2017 Audi A6 and A7 Gain New Tech and Mild Exterior Styling Tweaks

Audi has announced changes for the European-spec 2017 A6 and A7 range they include the addition of new connectivity functions to the cars’ MMI infotainment system. The Audi smartphone interface now comes with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto, which gives expanded access to smartphone apps via the car’s center-mounted screen. Additionally, both vehicles also gain the Audi Phone Box that has an inductive charging feature for devices that are Qi-compatible.

Exterior styling tweaks include a revised front fascia with contours surrounding the air inlets, side sills, and a new rear diffuser. The available S line package on the A6 adds a new radiator grille in matte black, gloss black slats, and chrome rings on vehicles with adaptive cruise control. Three new exterior paint colors have been added, Matador Red, Gotland Green, and Java Brown, a color that was originally exclusive to the not-for-U.S.-consumption A6 Allroad.  Additionally, two new alloy wheel designs have been added to the A6 while the A7 gains three. LED lighting has been added in the cabin and trunk area of all models in the A6 and A7 range. Two new interior inlays, Aluminum Ellipse Silver, and Fine Gray Birch Natural Agate Gray have been added.

Changes to the U.S.-spec 2017 lineup have not yet been officially announced but they will likely mirror the ones found in the European-spec variants of the A6/S6 sedan and A7/S7/RS 7 hatchback.
