2017 Subaru WRX Gets Modest Price Increase

The 2017 Subaru WRX starts at $27,515, a $100 increase from the 2016 version. Not much has changed for the 2017 model, which arrives in dealerships this summer.

Once again, Subaru will offer the WRX in standard, Premium, and Limited trim levels. For 2017, the WRX lineup receives tricot headliners. Base models now offer auto on/off headlights in auto mode position with windshield wiper operation. Premium models, with a power-tilt sliding moonroof, start at $29,815 with the six-speed manual or $31,015 with the CVT.

The range-topping Limited brings LED low-beam headlights, leather-trimmed upholstery, 8-way power driver’s seat, and welcome mood lighting. Reverse auto braking is included on WRX Limited models equipped with Subaru’s EyeSight safety package. Prices start at $31,815 with the manual and $33,015 with the CVT.

Once again, STI models are available in two trims: standard and Limited. Prices for the base model start at $36,015, up $525 from the 2016 model. Limited models see no price increase, however.

WRX models continue to receive power from a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injected flat-four engine making 268 hp. The STI ups the ante to 305 ponies from a turbo 2.5-liter flat-four.
