Jaguar has lowered the price of its two-seat sports car for 2017. The 2017 Jaguar F-Type Coupe and convertible now start at $62,395 and $66,395, respectively.
Those new prices represent a difference of $3,600 for the coupe and $2,700 for the convertible, according to the automaker. Power for the base rear-drive F-Type continues to be the 340-hp 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 backed by a six-speed manual transmission. The eight-speed Quickshift automatic will also be available on the entry-level model.
Changes to the base 2017 Jaguar F-Type include a metal roof (coupe) in place of the fixed panoramic roof, new six-way adjustable partially electric seat, valet mode, and solar attenuating windshield glass. Jaguar says the new pricing represents a savings of $1,700 over the 2016 model year.
The entry-level model continues to come standard with the 770-watt Meridian surround sound system, navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, leather and suedecloth sport seats, and Jaguar InControl Apps.
Additionally, the Jaguar EliteCare coverage introduced for model year 2016 remains standard. The EliteCare includes complimentary scheduled maintenance, roadside assistance, and Jaguar InControl Protect & Remote for five years or 60,000 miles.
The 2017 Jaguar F-Type will go on sale in late spring of 2016.
