cars news 10: 2016 Nissan Versa Note Gains “Color Studio” Personalization Options

Following the introduction of the Nissan Juke “Color Studio” at the 2014 Los Angeles auto show, the automaker is introducing the personalization program on the subcompact 2016 Nissan Versa Note hatchback at the 2015 Los Angeles auto show next week.

With the Color Studio, Versa Note owners can choose from 13 exterior and interior accessories in their choice of six accent colors to customize their ride. The six accent colors include Black, White, Red, Black-Purple, Orange, and/or Carbon Fiber Look.

Exterior accessories include 15-inch alloy wheels, wheel center caps, front lip finisher, door handle covers, side mirror caps, and rear roof spoiler. Interior pieces include floor mats, kick plates, speaker rings, air vent rings, rearview mirror cover, and interior trim appliques.

“As we found with Juke, a little color – or a lot – dramatically changes the look of a vehicle and there’s no easier way to make a ride stand out than the convenient, affordable Color Studio process,” Pierre Loing, vice president, Nissan Product Planning said in a release. “We believe Versa Note owners are going to embrace the concept just as much as Juke owners do.”

For 2016, the Versa Note SV Convenience Package is now standard on the SV model. The package includes NissanConnectSM with Mobile Apps, 5.0-inch color display, Bluetooth phone and audio streaming, Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant, SiriusXM satellite radio, RearView Monitor, and Divide-N-Hide Adjustable Floor. Additionally, the Versa Note gains two new exterior paint colors including Cayenne Red and Gun Metallic.

The 1.6-liter I-4 engine with available five-speed manual (S trim only) and Xtronic CVT carry over.

Color Studio accessories ordered at time of vehicle purchase can be financed with the car. Additionally, owners of 2014 and 2015 Versa Note models can also retrofit their cars with pieces form the Color Studio program.
