The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe joins the already revealed sedan as part of one of the most ambitious compact lineups around today. Debuting at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2016 Civic Coupe will be powered by a pair of four cylinder engines that help push efficiency beyond the outgoing car, with 158 hp from a 2.0-liter I-4 and 174 hp from a turbocharged 1.5-liter I-4. The base engine is available with a six-speed manual transmission while both cars get a CVT.
The new 2016 Civic Coupe is much bigger than before, with 8.4 cubic feet more interior space and about 5 inches more rear-seat legroom. Stay tuned to this space as we reveal more about the two-door Civic that will do battle with the Kia Forte Koup and other inexpensive coupes.
Along with the Civic sedan, four-door hatchback, and performance variants (Si, Type-R), can the compact Honda take the sales crown from the Toyota Corolla in 2016?
