2017 Kia Cadenza Shows Off New Look for Korea

Kia unveiled its second-generation Cadenza today for Korea, where the model is known as the K7. Along with an updated front fascia, the premium sedan sports a wider, lower stance, Kia says.

Up front, Kia revamped the car’s tiger-nose grille with new vertical slats that replace the old model’s mesh design. Narrow LED headlamps and ice cube-shaped LED daytime running lights complete the look. In back, Kia revised the Cadenza’s taillamp design and squared off the bumpers to give it a cleaner appearance. In addition to the model’s claimed wider and lower stance, the 2017 Kia Cadenza also has a swept-back roofline and similar chrome detailing from the current model.

Sales of the current-gen Cadenza remain slow in the U.S. In the first 10 months of this year, Kia sold 5,898 copies, down from the 8,237 units sold during the same time period in 2014. Prices for the 2015 Cadenza start at $35,725 including destination fees, and that price tag brings along standard features including a 12-speaker surround sound system, navigation, brake assist, heated front seats, and leather trim seats.

Kia’s premium full-size car originally launched in Korea in 2010, but the model didn’t arrive on our shores until 2013. The all-new 2017 Kia Cadenza will hit global markets in 2016.
