Watch a Tow Truck Remove an Illegally Parked Car in Less Than a Minute

Fears of being towed can make you think twice about parking in a questionable spot. But for those few bold, sign-defying individuals who think they can get in and out before the tow truck can haul them away, this video of a car getting towed in under a minute should make them a little more paranoid.

The video, shot in another country, begins with a tow truck zeroing in on a Renault Clio hatchback parked with its hazards flashing. This isn’t just any tow truck, however. This vehicle has forklift-like hydraulic arms that can lift a car from the side then slide it onto the bed. As we see in the video, the process is very fast, with the truck pulling up next to the car, hoisting it up and placing it on the bed, then driving away in less than 60 seconds.

As evidenced by a few older videos, this type of tow truck isn’t new. But as far as we know, we don’t have these in the ‘States. That’s good news for anyone who makes a habit of parking illegally. Still, knowing these exist will probably make them reconsider the next time they look at a restricted space and think, “I’ll only be a minute.”
