The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving recently dumped its long-time association with GM and the Chevrolet Corvette to partner with FCA. Along with adding FCA products like the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat to its fleet of student cars, Bondurant will also offer free driving instruction to every person who buys a Fiat 124 Spider Abarth or 500 Abarth.
Customers who purchase or lease an Abarth model will receive a complimentary one-day course at the Bondurant school. Bondurant offers a similar program to buyers of 2015-2016 SRT models, and extended the same deal to new Corvette owners before the FCA partnership was forged. But those who don’t own an Abarth can still get in on the fun. Bondurant is adding a number of 500 Abarth and 124 Spider Abarth cars to its fleet as part of its Fiat Trackside and Road Rally programs. The Trackside program includes classroom instruction and skid, slalom, and autocross exercises. The day concludes with a team rallycross event and hot laps on the track. The optional second day takes students on a road rally spanning 180-220 miles of scenic Arizona highway. A morning coffee break and lunch are included.
In addition to those courses, the Fiat 124 Abarth will be featured in a special race series for Fiat Trackside members. The program begins in November, but Abarth owners can get more information starting in September by entering their VIN here.
