The Lamborghini Centenario roadster will make its global debut at Monterey Car Week, the automaker confirmed in a press release.
The Centenario will make an appearance at the Quail Golf Club on Friday morning before hitting Pebble Beach on Sunday. We expect the roadster to use the Centenario coupe’s 6.5-liter V-12 engine rated at 759 hp. Lamborghini is building 20 roadsters and 20 coupes, all of which are already sold out.
It may not be the rarest Lamborghini ever made, but it certainly is the most powerful, up 19 hp from the Aventador SV. Lamborghini debuted the Centenario coupe earlier this year to celebrate the 100th birthday of the company’s late founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini. Customers are shelling out at least 1.75 million euros before tax (or about $2 million) for one of these supercars. The automaker estimates the Centenario has a top speed of more than 217 mph and can hit 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Lamborghini points out the Centenario roadster coming to Pebble Beach is a “one-off,” although we bet all Centenario models will be heavily tailored to their individual owners. Buyers can choose from exterior carbon fiber or paint colors from the bespoke Ad Personam personalization program. Lamborghini will start delivering the Centenarios this fall.
