Ford is now selling a special-edition F-150 model for the most hardcore Dallas Cowboys fans. The Ford F-150 Dallas Cowboys edition is limited to just 400 units in Texas.
Painted in Cowboys helmet silver, the special model is based on the mid-level F-150 XLT with Chrome Package, which Ford says is the top volume seller in Texas.
In addition to the standard features that come with this trim, the truck receives a number of subtle updates to the exterior, including 20-inch chrome wheels with “Cowboys” center caps. Special badging adorns the tailgate and front doors, and a blue-white-blue rocker panel resembles the team’s helmet stripe. Inside, you’ll notice Cowboys-branded floor mats that complement the special chrome foot plates, as well as a “1 of 400” badge autographed by Jerry Jones, president of the Dallas Cowboys. A unique cargo bed mat features the Cowboys star logo.
The special-edition F-150 will only be sold in select dealerships around Texas, the largest truck market in the U.S., Ford reports. The automaker has partnered with the Dallas Cowboys for more than two decades, and it has been 22 years since the automaker released a Cowboys-edition F-150.
Just in time for the start of the football season, Ford is also opening the Ford Center at The Star. The new training facility in Frisco, Texas features practice fields and an indoor stadium for the Dallas Cowboys team.
