Top Gear Releases New Trailer, Shows Some Seriously Cool Cars

Love it or hate it, “Top Gear” is alive and kicking despite the departure of Clarkson, Hammond, and May. The series returns with a new cast at the end of this month, and to keep excitement high, released a new teaser trailer for the new season.

The hosts might be new, but if the trailer is anything to go by, the “Top Gear” shenanigans are still in full-force. In the trailer, we see hosts Chris Evans and “Friends” favorite Matt LeBlanc looking at used cars online, with Matt using something he references as “car Tinder.” Cue the baby-making music.

In typical “Top Gear” fashion, what follows are gratuitous shots of some seriously hot metal, including a Rolls-Royce, a Jaguar E-Type, a Ford Mustang, a Ferrari 250 from the 1960s, a Ferrari 488 GTB, Ken Block’s Hoonicorn, an Aston Martin Vulcan, a Corvette Z06, and a bright yellow Ferrari F12tdf. There are jumps, drifts, mountain roads, and smoking tires. In other words, exactly what we watch “Top Gear” for.

If the trailer doesn’t do anything to scratch the “Top Gear” itch, purists need not worry, as the original trio return for an Amazon Video distributed show called “The Grand Tour.” The three presenters took their merry time coming up with a name for the new program, but the show is well on its way to its debut at the end of this year.
