GMC has unveiled the 2016 Yukon SLT Premium Edition, which boasts plenty of chrome accents and upscale interior features. The model will go on sale this summer and will be available as the standard Yukon or as the long-wheelbase Yukon XL.
Unique design touches on the 2016 GMC Yukon SLT Premium Edition include 22-inch chrome wheels, bright chrome body-side moldings, a polished exhaust tip, and a chrome grille. Also look for fold-flat second- and third-row seats, a programmable power liftgate, wireless phone charging, GMC’s IntelliLink multimedia interface with an 8-inch touchscreen and navigation, Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto compatibility, and keyless entry/start. With rear-wheel drive, towing capacity reaches 8,500 pounds for Yukon models or 8,300 pounds for XL variants.
“The new Yukon SLT Premium Edition adds distinction and personalized style to the already well-appointed Yukon SLT model,” said Stu Pierce, senior marketing manager for GMC Trucks & Full-size SUVs. “For discerning customers seeking uncompromising capability and unparalleled refinement in a full-size SUV, Yukon SLT Premium Edition delivers with the latest in technologies, amenities and a unique and premium style.”
Under the hood is a 5.3-liter V-8 rated at 355 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy ratings are 16/23 mpg city/highway for rear-wheel-drive models and 15/22 mpg with four-wheel drive.
