Matthew McConaughey Returns for 2017 Lincoln MKZ Ads (W/Videos)

Lincoln tapped Matthew McConaughey to help promote the then- new 2015 Lincoln MKC crossover in some TV spots. Now, the American actor has returned for a trio of new videos for the redesigned midsize 2017 Lincoln MKZ sedan.

In the first commercial, titled “Shave,” McConaughey is seen getting a professional shave with a straight razor. As the barber finishes the shave, the actor can be seen driving the 2017 MKZ sedan through a mountainous road peeking through the fog. As the commercial ends, the words: “The Exhilarating New Lincoln MKZ” appears across the screen.

The second ad dubbed “Midnight” shows the stylishly dressed actor walk out of an upscale home toward a serene reflecting pool. Images of McConaughey piloting the Lincoln MKZ flash on the screen. As he falls backward into the pool, the car is seen exiting a tunnel into the pouring rain. Again the “It’s like that” tagline and the words: “The Exhilarating New Lincoln MKZ” appears at the end of the video.

Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings appear in the third spot, “Ensemble,” performing in a high-end club. As Jones sings a cover of “Midnight Rider,” the camera pulls back through the redesigned grille of a new MKZ sedan with McConaughey behind the wheel. The actor is seen slicing through a windy coastal road.
