Unfortunately, Aston Martin isn’t giving away any information on the new sports car ahead of the reveal. But we do know the model is way overdue for a complete overhaul. The V-8-powered version arrived for the 2006 model year, followed not long after by the V-12 version. Aston has introduced numerous variants over the years, including the recent V12 Vantage S Dogleg that has a seven-speed manual and can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds according to our tests.
Aston Martin is in the middle of launching seven new vehicles in seven years. Starting things off was the DB11, Aston Martin’s first all-new car in more than a decade. After that, the next vehicles in line are the Vanquish and Vantage, both of which will share powertrain bits, structural elements, and the Daimler-sourced electrical architecture with the DB11. A DBX crossover is also on the way, along with sedans that will wear the Lagonda badge. An all-electric RapidE is due out in 2019.
We’ll learn more about the car in a few weeks, so stay tuned.
