cars news 10: MSO Launches Personalization Parts for McLaren 650S, 12C

Just in time for the holidays, McLaren Special Operations is launching new aftersales personalization options for owners of Super Series cars, which include the 650S, 675LT, and discontinued 12C. Part of MSO’s Defined line of accessories, the parts enhance the exterior and interior looks, and can be purchased by existing owners or at the point of sale of pre-owned McLaren Super Series models.

For the exterior, MSO has designed a new carbon fiber rear diffuser, carbon fiber mirror arms with matching mirror caps, louvered carbon fiber front fenders inspired by historic Can-Am McLaren racers like the M8D, and an unpainted carbon fiber hood similar to the one found on the limited-edition 650S Can-Am (pictured above). The upgrades aren’t just cosmetic, either. In addition to saving weight, many of the carbon fiber pieces will subtly enhance a Super Series model’s already impressive performance. The rear diffuser and front fenders improve airflow and increase grip. Available interior upgrades include carbon fiber vent bezels, carbon fiber door sill guards, and a carbon fiber steering wheel wrapped in leather or Alcantara with carbon shift paddles.
