Lamborghini Huracan Splits in Half After Crash (W/Video)

Most places around the country, it’s a rare sight to see a Lamborghini on the street. But it’s even rarer to see a Lamborghini crumbled into pieces spread out over several feet of roadway.

Around 3 p.m. last Saturday, a Lamborghini Huracan and a Lincoln MKS hit each other near a busy intersection in Chicago. According to a witness at the scene, the Lamborghini then crashed into a pole and split in half. In pictures, you can see the rear of the car on a sidewalk several feet from the rest of the vehicle.

The Lamborghini driver was pulled out of the car, and fortunately just in time. Right after the driver was hauled out of the vehicle, the car exploded into a ball of fire. An ambulance took the driver to the hospital after the crash. Reports from shortly after the accident say his condition remained unclear.

While the Lamborghini was completely gone, the Lincoln was at least still recognizable. In one of the videos, you can see it sustained particularly bad damage to its front left corner, however. Meanwhile, vehicular shards appear to have flown way past the area of the crash.

It’s unclear exactly how this accident occurred, and authorities are still investigating the matter. Check out the videos below to see two different vantage points of the vehicular carnage.
