Details on the new version of Honda's largest SUV are slim, but the automaker says the eight-passenger 'ute will offer "new technology, advanced safety, class-leading fuel economy and enhanced family utility and versatility." The stocky, blocky family hauler should also get a total exterior makeover. Honda says the new model represents a dramatic shift in design, and the teaser image hints at the 2016 version's sloping roofline and more angular body. It looks like the rear three-quarters of the new Pilot borrows styling from Honda’s smaller SUVs, the CR-V and HR-V.

The 2016 Pilot will meet the public at the Chicago Auto Show on Feb. 12 and go on sale this summer. Acura will also show off an updated RDX in Chicago. The automaker promises that the new compact crossover will be safer and more luxurious as well as offer styling and performance enhancements. Check back with us on Feb. 12 for more details.
