cars news 10: The McLaren 720S Configurator is Here

Say goodbye to the next hour of your day because McLaren has released its configurator for the 720S.

The first order of business is choosing between three trim levels: the base model, Luxury, and Performance. Opting for the Luxury model brings little extras such as silver exterior window surrounds, heated and memory sport seats, and ambient lighting for the interior cabin and engine bay. Performance models feature a carbon fiber exterior package and carbon fiber interior components.

As you can imagine, almost anything can be customized. You can choose from 34 different paint colors, multiple wheel designs, and eight different brake caliper colors. It’s also fun to browse through a host of different pieces of the car that can be upgraded with carbon fiber accents. Inside the cabin, everything from the color of the leather seats to the color of the seat belt can be customized to your liking.

The configurator launches just one week after the 2018 McLaren 720S debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. Equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine, the new Super Series model reaches 60 mph in less than 2.9 seconds. Top speed is 212 mph.
