cars news 10: Ram Spices up 1500 Rebel With New Delmonico Red Paint

If you thought the Ram 1500 Rebel and Ram Limited pickups had enough appearance options, the truck manufacturer just announced some additional choices that should keep these trucks turning heads.

Delmonico Red is a new, no-charge seventh exterior color option for the Ram Rebel. The deep red color joins the available Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Flame Red, Granite Crystal Metallic and Mojave Sand colors. The color can be ordered with the Black Rebel appearance package, can come in two-tone (black lower panels), or monotone. The new paint option features a black and gray interior with all-black heated seats with “Rebel” embroidery and Light Slate Gray accent stitching that highlights the instrument panel, center console lid, doors, and seats. Additionally, bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel, and gauge cluster trim rings have been anodized in black.

Last year, Ram brought the Rebel’s large R-A-M tailgate letters to the Limited trim offered on 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks, available in bright chrome. Those letters can now be ordered matched to a truck’s body color, including Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black Crystal, Delmonico Red, Granite Crystal Metallic, Maximum Steel Metallic, Pearl White, and True Blue colors. To further complement the monochromatic theme, the Limited models can now be ordered with new body-colored cab-length running boards that can be paired with above body-colored tailgate lettering. The body-colored running boards are also available on the Ram 1500 Night editions.

The Ram Rebel is an off-road-focused variant that features a factory lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates, tow-hooks, air suspension, and other off-road goodies. The luxurious Ram Limited sports all-black leather seating, Black Argento interior wood trim, subtle stitching accents, pin-striping, billet port “RAM” grille, and the standard Active-air suspension system with five settings.

The 2017 Ram Rebel starts at $46,490 including destination and the Ram 1500 Limited with the monochromatic appearance package starts at $54,660 including destination. Both start arriving at dealerships starting May 2017. Body-colored R-A-M tailgate letters and running boards are available now as standalone options and have a price tag of $195 each. The Ram Rebel Night with running boards is $40,280 including destination.
