2016 Fiat 500X Starts At $20,900

Hot off the heels of a rousing TV spot during Sunday's Super Bowl XLIX game, Fiat announced today the all-new 500X small SUV will start at $20,900, including a destination fee, when it goes on sale later this year. The 500X is one of the more mainstream cars we've seen from Fiat since its return to the U.S. market. It will likely appeal to a much broader audience than the brand's other models thanks to the 500X's compact crossover shape and available all-wheel drive.

The 500X is a player in a segment of small SUVs that seemingly popped up out of nowhere [no pun intended, seriously], including the Honda HR-V (pricing TBA), Chevrolet Trax ($20,995) and Jeep Renegade ($18,990). Fiat's tiny ute is available in five trim levels ranging from the entry-level Pop to the $28,000 Trekking Plus. Continue below for more trim level pricing.

Fiat 500X trim levels:

Pop: $20,900

Easy: $23,200

Trekking: $24,000

Lounge: $26,750

Trekking Plus: $28,000

All-wheel drive is available on four of the five trim levels as a $1,900 option; Pop trims are front-wheel drive only. The entry-level Pop trim level is also the only one with a manual transmission and turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which pair together exclusively. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder and nine-speed automatic transmission are available for $1,500 and are the standard engine and transmission on all other trim levels.
