We last saw the Mercedes-Benz GLB winter testing in January. Now, just about a year later, our spy photographers have captured the upcoming crossover in the snow once again, this time with less camouflage.
Spotted at a fuel stop in Sweden, the GLB shows off its new front end. Although the headlights and grille don’t look ready for production yet, the photos give us a better idea of what we could expect. The GLB will likely receive a big grille like the one in these photos, and maybe the headlights will keep the square shape we see here, too.
The Mercedes GLB prototype looks a bit like a box, particularly from the rear, which appears very upright. We can also see taillights peeking through, although they may not be ready for prime time. Interior photos reveal a cabin that looks a lot like the A-Class. It features a single display unit that incorporates both the instrument cluster and the infotainment screen. Along with the circular air vents, the cabin features similar center console controls to the A-Class.
Expect the GLB to sit on the same platform as the new A-Class and B-Class. They will share engines, too. The GLB looks like it will be bigger than its siblings, at least from what we can tell in these photos.
Automotive News reported earlier this year that the GLB is destined for the U.S. It will likely come out in the fourth quarter of 2019.
