2019 Ford F-150 Limited Gets Raptor Engine

For the new model year, F-150 buyers won’t have to opt for the Raptor to receive 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. The 2019 Ford F-150 Limited will also offer the high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 when it goes on sale later this year. This will be the only engine offered on the Limited trim.

Complementing the upgraded performance, the Limited will feature a new dual exhaust system integrated into new rear bumper cutouts. Limited models also get 22-inch wheels and satin finish around the grille, window trim, and door handles. Inside the cabin, look for genuine ash swirl wood trim, leather upholstery, a Miko suede headliner, heated steering wheel, and Limited plaque with a serial number on the center console armrest. There are new Camel Back two-tone leather seats and multicontour front seats with a massaging function.

Standard safety features on the Limited include pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, 360-degree camera system, lane keep assist, and more. It also features an integrated trailer brake controller as well as power-deployable running boards, tailgate release, and twin-panel moonroof. Expect Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices.

The F-150 lineup is coming off a major update for the 2018 model year. At this time, it received revised styling, a new turbodiesel V-6, revised gas engines, and wider availability of the 10-speed automatic.

For 2019, the Raptor also receives updates. These include Recaro seats, new exterior colors, and electronically controlled live-valve Fox Racing Shox with infinite compressions for continuous damping.
