2018 Lexus RX 450hL Priced From $51,615

Lexus is charting new territory by introducing a hybrid, three-row crossover to the U.S. market in April. The 2018 Lexus RX 450hL will start at $51,615, or $1,550 more than its non-hybrid counterpart, the RX 350L with all-wheel drive.

The RX 450hL comes standard with all-wheel drive, a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine, and two electric motors. In all, the model produces a total of 308 hp, up from 290 hp offered in the non-hybrid model. The hybrid also makes use of a standard CVT transmission instead of an eight-speed automatic. On the hybrid, an EV mode allows drivers to travel at low speeds for short distances on electric power only.

The online configurator reveals a host of color choices, including shades of black, red, brown, blue, gray, beige, and white. A navigation package runs for $2,120, bringing along a nav system, 12-speaker premium sound system, and other goodies. Another package offers a Mark Levinson surround sound audio system.

Buyers can also opt for a Luxury package, which brings the price of the model up to $55,550. With the package, you get semi-aniline trimmed seats, laser-cut Gray Sapele wood trim with aluminum trim, interior LED ambient lighting, 20-inch alloy wheels with machined finish and selectable color inserts, a heated wood steering wheel, and manual rear door sunshades.

As previously announced, the RX 350L starts at $48,665 with front-wheel drive and $50,065 with all-wheel drive. The model is also available with the Luxury package, bringing prices up to $53,680 with front-wheel drive and $55,080 with all-wheel drive.
