Rep of Macedonia March 2015: Hyundai ix35 confirms leadership

The Hyundai ix35 brilliantly leads the Macedonian market so far in 2015.

Thanks to data published by Central European data specialists www.ceauto.co.hu, I can share with you an update on the Republic of Macedonia after a one month-hiatus. New car sales are up a timid 2% year-on-year in March to 414 registrations, bringing First Quarter results up 5% to 1,018 units. A very interesting development is occurring this year in the Republic of Macedonia: whereas it didn’t even crack the FY14 Top 10, the Hyundai ix35 has installed itself atop the sales charts with a very impressive 7.3% share over Q1 2015, way above the Skoda Rapid at 5.5% while the VW Golf, #1 in 2014, is down to #5. Notice also the VW Passat soaring to 2nd place overall in March with a huge 7% market share, the Opel Corsa up to #3 thanks to the new generation and the Kia Sportage up to #7.
