2016 is a quiet year for the Subaru Impreza and its XV Crosstrek neo-crossover variant. That stasis is reflecting in the pricing. The figure for the base Crosstrek remains unchanged, while all other Crosstrek and Impreza models drift up slightly, with starting prices increasing by $100 to $700.
-Subaru is asking $100 more this year for the least-expensive Impreza sedan and hatchback, the 2.0i, which now start at $19,090 and $19,590. Also $100 dearer are the slightly fancier 2.0i Premium versions (which add heated seats and mirrors, and a windshield-wiper de-icer), the 2.0i Sport Premium hatch, and the XV Crosstrek Premium. For the Limited versions (whose finery includes leather upholstery, “Welcome Lighting,” an LCD in the gauge cluster and—new—Starlink telematics), the ask is now $300 more than last year.
-The XV Crosstrek hybrid, meanwhile, starts at $27,245—a $400 increase—while the high-falutin’ Crosstrek Hybrid Touring jumps to $30,845. (But, hey, those buyers can afford it.)

Aside from the numbers on the window sticker, the chief difference for the 2016 models is a slightly updated look for the XV Crosstrek. It get a revised front end, with a new grille, headlights, and bumper; the non-hybrid version also gets new wheels. New blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert are standard on the top-spec Crosstrek Limited and Hybrid Touring, and the aforementioned Starlink services are available.
